It seems that the new Harry Potter RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, will feature a Morality System of some sort when it finally releases in 2021. It's currently unknown how in-depth this will be, but it's still a nice mechanic to feature in a world so heavily focused on good and evil. Warner Bros released this information in a recent Q&A.

In Hogwarts Legacy, you get to play as a Hogwarts student set in the late 1800s, but it's unsure whether you can choose which of the four houses you wish to be in or if the Sorting Hat will do that for you. Will the Morality System differ depending on the house that is chosen for you? Gryffindor is meant to be courageous and brave, so if you start doing dastardly deeds, will you turn faster to evil? Or will the effects be almost negligible? That how other students and professors react and speak to you will change, and nothing else?

How vast will the game be, will the morality system altar the world or limit where you can go? As from what the trailers tell us, you’ll be able to explore the magical corridors of Hogwarts, as well as other fan-favorite locations such as the Forbidden Forest and even Hogsmeade Village. It'll be fascinating how Avalanche Studios incorporates the Morality System, as the world of Harry Potter is so broad and detailed.

Hogwarts Legacy is set to release in 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
