How to complete Brothers Keeper quest in Hogwarts Legacy

Brothers Keeper actually begins in Upper Hogsfield, north of Hogsmeade, after speaking with Dorothy Sprottle. She is concerned about Claire Beaumont's brother, Bardolph, and is actually the one that tasks you with finding him.

On the first step of the quest, Dorothy will send you to speak with Claire nearby. Claire informs you of where Bardolph went, and of the special scarf he's wearing that makes him easily distinguishable from anyone else. After doing so, Claire marks the location on your map. Follow the marker to a human camp, now infested with Inferius, and defeat all of Inferius there with fire magic. This is the only way you can harm them initially, so be sure you have either Incendio or Confringo equipped.

After roasting all of the Inferius, including one wearing the exact scarf Claire mentioned prior to your invasion, you learn from a note in the camp that Bardolph was learning dark magic to protect his sister. From this, it is implied that something went wrong, and all the humans that once inhabited the camp suffered The Wizarding World's equivalent to zombification, turning them all into Inferius.

With this information, head back to Claire in Upper Hogsfield and speak with her. Here you have a choice: Let her know that her brother is dead, or lie about his death. If you choose to let her know, she breaks down into grieving sobs. If you lie, she is distraught about his decision to join the Ashwinders. Either way, the choice does not affect you from a story or gameplay standpoint. She is still usable as a vendor and the choice has no tangible effects on anything else in the game.
