HoYoverse always ensures that a good sound and awesome music score always go with a great visual presentation with their dedicated in-house sound studio. Unfortunately, some players (including us!) have reported audio issues throughout the game concerning performance—mainly the absence of music and voices.
In this guide, we'll help you solve that problem.
How to fix the Honkai Star Rail no audio bug
While we wait for Hoyoverse to fix the issue, the easiest way to temporarily get rid of the bug is to close and restart your game. This works on our end every time. Honkai: Star Rail has beautiful background music and terrific voice acting! It would be a shame to enjoy the experience without it.
No audio seems to be a recurring problem whenever a new Honkai: Star Rail patch is pushed out. It was there during launch, was patched after a few days, went back in 1.4, patched, and it's here now. It's why you often see extra downloaded resources days after you've already pre-loaded the update. Some of those fixes are for new content audio.

Force updating Honkai Star Rail
If a restart doesn't fix your audio, you can perform a re-verification of your game files. Force updating will redownload all of Honkai: Star Rail's data onto your device. Due to how long it takes to do this, it should be your last resort.
To re-verify the integrity of Downloaded resources, follow the steps below:
- Launch Honkai Star Rail on your device.
- Once you are in the main menu, click on the Update icon on the top right corner of the screen.
- Tick the Force update all downloaded files checkbox in the popup window.
- Click Confirm.
The game will relaunch and start scanning local files, verifying their integrity. Any corrupted or missing files will be downloaded by the client.
