This crazy train made me go off the rails!

Unfortunately, there is no way to permanently fix the glitch that gets you stuck on the loading screen in Honkai: Star Rail. The developers have yet to address this issue officially, which goes toward the argument that it may be connected to the server's stress. But fear not! There are several steps you can try to make the game run on your platform.

1. Shut Honkai Star Rail down and relaunch it

While you're stuck on the train loading screen, you can shut Honkai: Star Rail down by following these simple steps:

On PC:

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Del on your keyboard to open the Lock screen.
  • Select Task Manager from the bottom of the list.
  • In the Task Manager window, find Honkai: Star Rail and select it.
  • Press End Task in the bottom right corner to kill the process.
  • Relaunch the game.

On mobile:

  • Exit the game and close it from your active tabs.
  • Go to your phone's Application or Apps settings and select Honkai: Star Rail.
  • Select Force Stop.
  • Relaunch the game.

After doing all these steps, the game should launch without any issues, and you should see the in-game menu soon after the train animation. Solving the problem this way worked fine for me, but your experience may vary.

2. Restart your connection or connect to WiFi

Restarting your router may help fix the issue as well. This will rid your connection of any potential errors that might have occurred. If you're using data, switch to WiFi and try logging in again. Sometimes it causes an error if it's our first time logging in during the day, as the game installs (and deletes) a number of files, like the daily mission, which is better done on WiFi.

3. Reinstall the game

If all else fails, reinstall the game completely. Reinstalling a game of this file size may not be the worst thing in the world, plus some players have reported this method working for them and have had no issues after doing so. In any case, we hope the HoYoverse will address this issue soon.
