With HoYoverse's release of Honkai Star Rail, fans wonder if Honkai Star Rail will be playable on Steam. As one of the go-to clients for PC gaming, Steam makes perfect sense, as players want all of their gaming backlog in one place. But since the previous games in the Honkai universe have yet to be available on Steam, the question arises—will things change this time?
Is Honkai Star Rail coming to Steam?
Much to our dismay, Honkai Star Rail will not be coming to Steam. As much as we all love everything in one place when gaming, The only way to play Honkai Star Rail on PC is to download the client from the HoYoverse website or Epic Games Store. Like Genshin Impact, no matter how much time has passed, it's doubtful Star Rail will ever appear on the Steam distribution client.
The game being unavailable on Steam also means that it will unfortunately not be available to be played on Steam Deck. Officially, you can also play Honkai Star Rail on mobile devices, but the game file size may deter some players from installing the game onto their mobile phones. Still, we have a potential solution if you're a portable gaming fan. You can try to enable the game to run on Steam Deck, but do so at your peril!
