While exploring the world of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, players will happen upon characters called Waddle Dees. These creatures, which have been featured in many past Kirby games, seemingly serve as damsels in distress, as they all have been captured and need rescued before returning to their home of Waddle Dee Town.

Each stage has a set number of Waddle Dees that can be saved, so be sure to thoroughly scan each area while continuing through the main story. In particular, players should be sure to interact with all objects as they may unlock hidden side missions containing concealed Waddle Dees.

What purpose do Waddle Dees serve?

Players will be happy to learn that rescuing Waddle Dees is quite useful aside from being a kind gesture. Once saved, these creatures will return to Waddle Dee Town where they help repair damaged structures. Doing so unlocks various shops, activities, and even Kirby's house where players can take a rest to regain HP. Aside from its usefulness, unlocking these buildings also makes the hub area of Waddle Dee Town feel much more lively.
