How to avoid Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company

They might not look like much, but these creatures can be dangerous and even kill you. Tulip Snakes can be found on forest moons Vow, March, and Adamance. They only appear during the daytime, so you can see them any time from your arrival until 5 PM. For creatures that fly, I've mostly seen them walk across the ground before they pounce.

They will make a distinctive squawking noise when they are around. Additionally, they tend to have bright colors that stand out from the greens of the forest moons. If you spot them, go another direction and use your sprint to evade them.

When a Tulip Snake notices you, it jumps on your head. While you are walking, it will keep peeking at you and squawking. Having only one of these creatures on you isn't dangerous. It honestly feels like you have a pet. You can bring them into the factory with you, but if you get injured by any other monster, they will be taken out, too.

The real danger comes when more than one starts clinging to you. Once they attach themselves to your body, they will start flapping their wings and start lifting you up in the air. Don't jump in this situation, as you will only be helping them lift you higher.

Don't worry; they won't keep carrying you for long. However, once they get bored, they drop you from pretty large heights, which will deal damage to you. It's not a lot, but every bit of health matters when you're trying to loot and get out alive. Once you are dropped, the squad of Tulip Snakes that was carrying you will scutter away. Don't think you're out of the woods just yet, as a different set of these creatures can also attack you immediately, as I had the joy of experiencing.

If you are at very low health, do your best to avoid getting caught and carry a melee weapon so that you can swipe at them and kill them.

How to kill Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company

These creatures are pretty easy to kill, whether they are stuck on you or a fellow crew member. The easiest way to kill Tulip Snakes in Lethal Company is with a shovel. Since these are outside daytime monsters, there is a chance you will encounter them even if you are just going into a building. Purchase one shovel from the store and be prepared to hit them.

If more are on you, just one swipe of the shovel will take them all off, so they don't have a lot of health. It's the same case if they are swarming a teammate.

A zap gun and stun grenades will also kill these creatures. The stun grenades are probably a waste since they are one-use only and can be used on more dangerous monsters, but if you're already bringing in the zap gun, you can easily get rid of the Tulip Snakes.
