Life is Strange: Double Exposure has a new feature for completionist players

Get you that 100% completion rate

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is not just bringing back Max Caulfield and her time-bending powers, but it’s also introducing a couple of features. During the Double Exposure Interactive Panel Experience at PAX West 2024, the developers revealed a screen that offers players two intriguing options: "Explore Scene" and "Restart Scene."

The "Explore Scene" feature allows players to go back to a scene they've already played, offering a second (or third, or fourth) chance to pick up any items or clues they might have missed the first time around. For players who are meticulous about uncovering every secret and achieving 100% completion, this is a game-changer.

Then there’s the "Restart Scene" option. This allows you to restart a scene from the beginning, creating a new save file in the process. For those who like to experiment with different choices and outcomes, Restart will allow you to explore all the branching paths a scene offers before moving on, which means you can see every possible outcome and understand how your choices shape the narrative.

For completionist players, these new options are perfect. Life is Strange games have always been about making choices and living with the consequences, but with the Explore and Restart options, you now have the flexibility to experience everything Double Exposure has to offer without the fear of missing something crucial. You can focus on the story during your first playthrough of a scene, knowing that you can come back later to pick up anything you missed or try out different choices.

By allowing players to revisit and thoroughly explore each scene, the devs are able to encourage more engagement with the game world and its characters.

In a series known for its emotional depth and branching narratives, these features provide a perfect way to ensure that no stone is left unturned. With Life is Strange: Double Exposure set to release on October 29, 2024, fans have a lot to look forward to.
