The Top 10 cozy games for PC being released in 2024
After the Nintendo Indie World Showcase in April and other great game announcements through Whole Games' 2023 Wholesome Snack Awards, we know that 2024 is flush with amazing games that cozycore gamers are sure to love. Although this list is primarily for cozy PC games, we will also note the other platforms that each game is available on. In no particular order, here are 2024's upcoming cozy games for PC:
10. The Garden Path
- Release Date: Late Spring, 2024
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch
The Garden Path has Secret Garden vibes, combining cozy PC gaming with a slightly darker look. It's very much the kind of game that feels like the fae have created it, and that playing it may leave you with more questions than answers. Despite the art style, this is a gardening sim that gives players the chance to explore dense woodlands, make themselves a cup of tea, and chat with strange figures lurking in the dark.
Make friends with vegetable visitors (yes, you read that right), and find new things to do every day. The Garden Path is designed to be played the way that you want to play it; whether that's in short bursts or longer gaming sessions. Take a wander into the forest this Spring... Who knows what you'll find?
9. Endless Ocean Luminous
- Release Date: May 2, 2024
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S
Explore the ocean with your friends in the third Endless Ocean game. Endless Ocean Luminous brings the series into the modern era, allowing you to connect online with other divers and swim together through the ocean depths. The scenery even changes depending on the time of day, so you can enjoy some more mysterious nighttime dives if that's something that'd tickle your sea pickle.
Dive solo and take selfies with fish and other marine life, or play in a group of up to 30 divers and use hand signals to communicate. While you're together, learn about real and mythical sea creatures by gathering the light floating around each one. Get cozy and enjoy this soothing marine adventure.
8. Little Kitty, Big City
- Release Date: May 9, 2024
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S
It's gremlin cat hours over at Little Kitty, Big City, and we're loving it! In this game, you control a black cat who is lost in a large city in Japan. As you help them make their way home, you can get up to as many shenanigans as you want! That includes tripping over unsuspecting pedestrians, stealing food and phones, and throwing yourself at birds.
A cozy cat game is extremely welcome in the genre, and it's one that many cozy gamers have been waiting for. Become the menace you are inside on May 9, when Little Kitty, Big City goes live on every platform except PlayStation.
7. SunnySide
- Release date: May 24, 2024
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X
Another farming game for PC, but one with a modern twist. The art and play style are reminiscent of Japanese RPGs and simulation games, though it also looks like a slice-of-life anime. While living in the Japanese countryside, you'll spend time creating a successful farm, building relationships with then townsfolk, and helping others.
You aren't bound to the countryside like many other farming games — SunnySide allows you to travel into the city to take in the sights and go on dates. You can fly drones, and even fight a few things. Watch the fireworks explode and design the perfect life for yourself in SunnySide.

6. Critter Cove
- Release date: Q2 (April to June), 2024
- Platforms: PC
Who knew we'd be mixing post-apocalyptic games and cozy games this year? Critter Cove is an open-world life simulation and building game with a cartoonish style. Like all other building and farming games, it's your job (because no one else can do it) to make the town a thriving tourist destination once more. Gentleman Rat Studios describes their game as "a little bit Animal Crossing, a little bit Stardew Valley. Maybe even a little bit Wind Waker, too." That's a winning combination for any cozy gamer, and Critter Cove has some excellent features to keep us all entertained.
Unlike other post-apocalyptic games, Critter Cove is brightly colored, mixing in those elements of creating something from parts and the brighter palette of typical cozy games for PC. Enjoy upgrading and developing your town, sailing on the open waters, and making friends with the townsfolk.
5. Tiny Glade
- Release date: Q3 (July to September), 2024
- Platforms: PC
Tiny Glade is the perfect cozy game for those who prefer the building and/or design aspects of games like The Sims and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. It's a softly colored game where you can build as many castles and mini-towns in different designs as you like and watch your creation come to life. There's plenty of terraforming involved, as well as moving every window, brick, and pathway.
While you're building, you can change the colors of each of your structures, add extensions to already-built designs, and watch as the game intuitively builds when you add in certain objects. For example, if you push a path through a wall, the game will automatically add an arch to accommodate the path. It's a freeform-building game with no grid snapping you back where you don't want to be.
4. Fields of Mistria
- Release date: TBC, 2024
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X
Inspired by other great cozy games like Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley, Fields of Mistria is a fantasy farming and simulation game with bright colors and a recognizable art style. After an earthquake damages the town and magic suddenly appears it's your job to restore the town to its former state—or use your skills to make it better than it was before!
In exchange for your help, the town of Mistria has offered you an overgrown farm to care of. While you explore, enjoy chatting with 12 possible suitors to start a family.
3. Wish Upon A Llama
- Release date: TBC, 2024
- Platforms: PC
Have you ever wanted to own and raise llamas? With Wish Upon A Llama, you'll work as a llama rancher, with the ability to also add bunnies, capybaras, and geese to your farm. While breeding your animals to try and get your preferred genetic traits, you can spend time interacting with the residents of Llama Town to build relationships.
There are over 50 special breeds to discover, and the game has been dubbed an "open-ended" RPG, so even if you go away for a while, you can come back and just... keep breeding llamas without adding this game to your "whoops, I forgot about that" pile.

2. Wholesome: Out and About
- Release date: TBC, 2024
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch
Yaldi Games is a new developer currently working on its debut game, Wholesome: Out and About, which is often shortened to "Out and About." According to the developer's official website, this small team of four aims to create games that "spark curiosity and empower real-life activities."
Out and About is a foraging game that aims to teach players about the plants they can find in the real world, which is perfect because foraging has become quite popular on TikTok (thanks to creators like @findersfeeders and @woodsboundoutdoors). The danger of foraging is that beginners may pick something up that isn't what they believe it to be, and so many plants and fungi are poisonous. Out and About is a cute and cozy way to learn about nature and how it can benefit us more than it already does. You can find updates for the game on the Kickstarter.
1. Go-Go Town!
- Release date: TBC, 2024
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S
Here in Go-Go Town!, you're the Mayor. But it's not all hard work and no play! As well as terraforming, you'll get your hands on some power tools and can really make your surroundings your own. Make your town unique by constructing new buildings and roads, changing the land, and getting things back to normal after a disaster strikes — it can't all be fun and games, we guess. At least you won't be indebted to a raccoon, like another series that forces you into a Mayoral role...
One of the most recent updates that the developers of Go-Go Town! released was the couch co-op mode that will be available in the game. Invite up to 4 friends to join you in your adventures as you wreak havoc on your town or actually decide to clean up a bit. Remember to add new shops and hire staff or you'll find that fewer tourists want to visit your town.
