When and how to preload New World?

If you want to preload the game at this time, you will need to first purchase it and activate it on your Steam account. Once activated, you will be able to start a download, usually by hitting a button that says preload.

This preload button will most likely appear on the day when preloading unlocks, so keep an eye out for it. Steam might also automatically download it, but check on the 27th and start the download yourself to be safe.

New World will also launch with several servers for multiple regions as listed below.

  • US East
  • Central EU
  • South America
  • Australia
  • US West

Each region will have multiple server worlds, thus ensuring plenty of players can join the game upon launch, thus hopefully avoiding any server crowding problems that happened during the closed beta.
