Path of Exile 2 closed beta information

The closed beta for Path of Exile 2 was initially supposed to become available on June 7, 2024, but the team at Grinding Gears Games decided to delay that beta access in order to further polish the game. An Early Access trailer shown on the latest State of Play livestream broadcast revealed that "Late 2024" was the new release window.

Grinding Gears Games seems to have accidentally let a November 2024 date slip, although this could certainly change given it's hasn't been announced in any grand fashion as you'd expect yet. Either way, those wanting to participate can now register their preferred email address via the official Path of Exile 2 website. Simply click on 'Register Email' on the bottom right, and click the confirmation link you receive afterward. This will notify those registered when the Closed Beta will become available.

Side Note: Registering via mobile may cause issues with getting the registration itself to go through. It may take more than one attempt. As such, we recommend signing up on a computer. If you still experience issues on PC, give it some time - some users report it goes through after a while.

Who will have access to the Path of Exile 2 closed beta?

Those who register for the Closed Beta of Path of Exile 2 with their email address will automatically be placed into a virtual lottery pool with other applicants. When the released date for the Closed Beta is announced, those applicants who are randomly chosen from the lottery will be notified via that same email that they will have access to the beta on that date.

To further clarify, registering for the Closed Beta does not guarantee access. Only those who are chosen by the team at Grinding Gears Games will be able to play the Closed Beta. If you don't receive a notification via your email, it likely means you were not chosen to participate. Instead, you will need to wait until Path of Exile 2 officially releases worldwide.
