The trailer for the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - A Dance of Masks DLC is a bit perplexing because it invites you to chill out and get nakey with hot dudes in ponds and make out by the fireplace and whatnot, but it also features a menacing 100-faced golem and swarms of locusts. That's life in the olden days for you, I suppose.
A Dance of Masks will see you return to where the adventure began (a freshly rebuilt Kenabres) and celebrate how awesome you are for saving the world and all that. During your downtime, among other things, you can enjoy personal events for each companion where they kick off their loafers and relax for damn once, as well as romantic events with all currently romanceable companions.
It'd be a bit strange (though fun) if developer Owlcat went full vibes-based simulator for this one and just let you socialize and play games and such, but the more traditional elements like combat will come in when the villains show up to try and cramp your style. Around the time that happens, you'll make your way outside of Kenabres to an enemy stronghold and take care of business.
Build-enjoyers can rejoice, too: 11 fresh character archetypes mean even more character possibilities (just in case the nine zillion weren't already enough). And for some quality of life, you'll be able to switch grip on your weapons from one to two-handed. What bonuses and debuffs this will confer remain to be seen, but as with the archetypes, it could make for some new approaches while also making builds more versatile.
A Dance of Masks marks the final chapter of Owlcat's epic saga, so if you want more Pathfinder, you'll have to wait for another game (or go the modding route). I look forward to pond makeouts while being attacked by locusts when Dance drops June 13.
