Crunchy Salts are usually located on the sides of cliffs. You can only pick up Crunchy Salts once Warden Ingo introduces you to the Noble Pokémon, Sneasler, in Coronet Highlands. Sneasler can help you scale cliffs with its sharp claws.

Crunchy Salts are very hard to miss, so don’t go looking for them purposely. You’ll pick up a ton just by playing through the main missions. Once you’ve gotten at least three, approach Tao Hua and give them to him. Then, walk out of the building and talk to Choy. He’ll add new items to sell.

By the way, Sneasler’s Warden, Ingo, is actually Subway Boss Ingo from Unova who fell into Hisui. He’s one of the two bosses of the Battle Subway in Nimbasa City, alongside Emmet.
