Fans proclaim Clavell is the real villain in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Is Clavell behind it all?

If there is one thing Pokémon fans know, it's that the real villain isn't always the one that appears to be so. This time around, fans may have discovered that the real villain is actually Clavell, the director of Naranja or Uva Academy, depending on whether you are playing Pokémon Scarlet or Violet.

From Reddit to YouTube and Twitter, many fans suspect that Clavell will secretly be an evil character in Pokémon Scarlet or Violet. This wouldn't be a complete surprise, as Rose in Pokémon Sword and Shield turned out to be the real villain, along with Lusamine in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

In the official artwork, Clavell certainly has an evil and sinister look to him, and the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet website states, "He can be strict, but he can also be kind." which could lean toward him being the main antagonist or simply a kind old man in charge of the Pokémon academy.

These theories could be slander against Clavell, but we won't know for sure until Pokémon Scarlet and Violet release. In the meantime, a more dastardly villain could be lying in the shadows.
