Where to find Salmon in Rune Factory 5

They're not as rare as you think!

Every Rune Factory has a fishing mechanic in it, and Rune Factory 5 is no different. However, searching for a specific fish is tricky. The type of fish that you catch is dependent on the kind of water the fishing spot has, the season, and, sometimes, even the time of day. With that in mind, here’s where to find a Salmon.

Salmon can be more frequently found in one of the fishing spots on the first floor of the Meline Crystal Caverns. More specifically, it’s the fishing pool on the west side. Salmons are really big fish, so if you see a large shadow, that’s when you should cast your line!

If you don’t have access to this location yet, move the story forward. Salmon can also be reeled from the pond near the Kelve Volcanic Region Entrance. However, more types of fish can be caught there, so the odds are much lower.

You need a rod to be able to fish. It should be given as a request item reward early in the game. Later on, you can craft better poles, which will allow you to attract further fish.
