Choosing an optimal outpost location is not an easy decision. There are so many available spots, all of which have their own advantages. With that in mind, we narrowed down your options to a few great choices for you to consider!

Linnaeus IV-B

Linnaeus IV-B is a moon of Linneaus IV, a planet in the Linneaus system. The Linneaus system is immediately southwest of Olympus. You can find quite a few resources on Linneaus IV-B, like:

  • Iron
  • Lead
  • Water
  • Helium
  • Beryllium
  • Hydromelonic Acid
  • Ytterbium

Not only do you get access to these great resources, but there are other moons and planets nearby that are similarly resource-rich. You also get to enjoy a more hospitable climate. Like many (but not all) other moons, it has no fauna (creatures or animals) to worry about. Overall, we think Linneaus IV-B is one of the best options out there for your future outpost.

Andraphon

In the Narion system, the moon of the planet Sumati is Andraphon. The Narion system is north of both the Sol and Alpha Centauri systems. This planet has a fair amount of resources, certainly enough to keep you busy managing your incoming resources, like:

  • Iron
  • Helium
  • Beryllium
  • Europium
  • Aluminum

Like Linneaus IV-B, there's no fauna to attack you or your crew while you're at your outpost. The climate there is also decently mild, meaning there is less to worry about in terms of suit protection.

Zamka

Zamka is a moon of the Olivas planet, which sits in the Alpha Centauri system. Alpha Centauri is the same system that houses Jemison (New Atlantis), so you should be well aware of it by now. It has these resources:

  • Iron
  • Copper
  • Helium
  • Water
  • Nickel
  • Uranium
  • Cobalt
  • Vanadium

Not only does Zamka have plenty of resources (including a couple that are less commonly seen), it also has a very convenient location. It is situated within Alpha Centauri, putting you very close to New Atlantis. Most players visit New Atlantis often, so this is great. It also has no fauna to worry about, just like our other entries.
