With Sora now in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the game's roster is now complete. Nintendo and Sakurai have clarified that there won't be any more DLC, and the game is finished. That didn't mean there wouldn't be any more updates to the game, with many fans and players still expecting to be receiving more gameplay updates in the coming month.
However, not many predicted that the next update would be the last one for fighters adjustment. The Nintendo Versus Twitter account tweeted that the upcoming Ver. 13.0.1 will be the last update that will affect how fighters perform in the game. That includes balancing the roster, increasing or decreasing damage input, and more. After 13.0.1, all the fighters will remain the same forevermore.

With that said, Nintendo Versus didn't clarify if this will be the final update in general. It was only stated that Ver. 13.0.1 will have the last fighters adjustment. It's still probably that other updates will hit the game, like Spirit Events and online tournaments.
These final fighter adjustments will make previous versions of the replay date incompatible. Players can convert their replay date by simply going to the Vaults menu, hitting Replays, going to Replay Data, and finally clicking on Convert to Video.
