CD Projekt Red announced on their The Witcher website that a new game is in development, though they did not give fans any other details like when the game will be released or how long development can be expected to last. One big piece of news to accompany the game announcement is that the new game will be made on Unreal Engine 5.

Since the new The Witcher game will be made on Unreal Engine 5, it comes as no surprise that this is part of a partnership between Epic Games and CD Projekt Red. Some players may be concerned about whether or not the game will be exclusive to Epic Games once it is released. Thankfully, CD Projekt Red has confirmed this will not be the case.
