How to get access to the Valorant console beta

Valorant console limited beta begins June 14, and only a handful of players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will get access to the game early on. The way in is easy—just register for the console beta here and wait for an email invitation to play the game.

Anyone lucky enough to an invitation to the Valorant console closed beta can invite five friends to join them. This means you can also use a referral link from somebody else who got an invite from Riot Games.

Remember, the closed beta will initially be limited to players in the USA, Canada, EU, and Japan regions. After receiving your Valorant console beta key, you can claim access on the PlayStation or Xbox stores, whichever platform you're playing on.

If you are facing any issues while trying to download or play the game, you can contact the support team for help.

Will Valorant support crossplay?

After its release on console platforms, Valorant will support crossplay for Xbox and PlayStation. However, console players will not be able to play with or against PC players to promote fair play and maintain the competitive integrity between the keyboard and controller inputs.

Will Valorant have cross-progression?

Yes, Valorant will support cross-progression so that your unlocks are carried over when you switch platforms. If you use the same Riot Games account to play on PC and consoles, your earned and purchased items can be used on both platforms, including:

  • Account Level
  • Currencies (VP, Kingdom Creds, Radianite Points)
  • Recruited Agents
  • Weapon Skins
  • Battle Pass
  • Battle Pass Progression
  • Mission Progression (Dailies, Weekly, etc)

However, your competitive rank will not be included in the shared progression model as your rank on a console cannot determine your capabilities on a PC.

Will the progress and purchases during the Valorant console beta carry over?

Yes, as part of the cross-progression across all platforms, anything you've unlocked or bought during the console-limited beta will be tied to your Riot Games account and will carry over to the full release.

What modes and maps will be available during the Valorant console beta?

Initially, a small selection of pre-existing new and old maps from Valorant PC will be available on consoles. More maps will eventually be added to the pool until the console beta shares the same maps as PC. As for the playlist, all the core non-competitive game modes will be available in the closed beta, but the competitive mode will be introduced later on.

If you're new to Valorant, you should try customizing your crosshairs, which can possibly enhance your accuracy. For more on this, check out our guide on the Best Valorant Crosshair Codes for Beginners.
