World of Warcraft is nearly 20 years old, and many specs have been added to the game over the years. The addition of Dragonflight has added the Evoker to the game, and with it comes two more specs to play. Here's a look at seven of the easiest specs to play in World of Warcraft for new players.
What's are the easiest specs to play in WoW Dragonflight?
Players unfamiliar with MMOs or those who are new to WoW, in general, would typically want to start with something that doesn't take a lot of knowledge to play. As a result, veterans would usually steer these players to classes like Hunter or Warlock as they are ranged DPS (damage per second) classes that are typically out of harm's way, giving them a far less stressful time as there's less to dodge in battle.

For melee-focused players who want to give the game a go, the Warrior and Death Knight make a lot of sense. However, picking a class is the first step of the battle, as many of these classes have many specs to choose from. Here's a look at seven specs that would be considered among the easiest in the game as of Dragonflight, in no particular order.
Frost Death Knight
The Frost DK is the easier of the two DPS specs Death Knight has to offer. There are two main builds to go for, and players who want an easier time will gravitate toward the Obliteration build, but the Breath of Sindragosa path is considered stronger. Both are completely viable, however.
Fury Warrior
Fury Warriors are a simple class as they largely hit whatever button lights up on their hotbar, so it's not difficult to learn. It is a melee class, so players will need to pay attention to their positioning more than they would with a ranged class.
Beast Mastery Hunter
The Beast Mastery Hunter is a very simple starting class because players get access to a pair of pets that can tank mobs in the open world, making leveling a breeze. It might not be the strongest class in Dragonflight, but it does its job very well.
Marksmanship Hunter
The Marksmanship Hunter is a spec that ditches the pet but gains a significant damage boost in exchange. It's still a ranged class like Beast Mastery, but most damage will come from the player's bow instead of a pet.
Destruction Warlock
All three Warlock specs are solid, but Destruction might be the easiest one to learn for a newer player or somebody looking for a low-stress scenario. Warlocks, like Hunters, have a pet that can help leveling much more effortlessly.
Devastation Evoker
The Devastation Evoker is the game's newest spec, and it's one of the simpler ones to learn. The drawback here is players start at level 58 when making an Evoker. That might prove to be too overwhelming for somebody just starting.
Frost Mage
Frost Mage is the chillest, no pun intended, of the three mage specs. Arcane is a difficult spec to balance, and Fire has a lot going on, so new players will likely find Frost the easiest one to get started with. Luckily, all three specs are viable in all content, so it's tough to go wrong.
What's the easiest class in WoW Dragonflight?
Most new players are ushered toward playing a Hunter in World of Warcraft, and interestingly enough, that goes for both Dragonflight and Classic WoW. Hunter is an excellent solo class with pets, allowing it to survive in the open world while leveling with the Beast Mastery spec. It features the Marksmanship spec that can pump out serious damage in a raid scenario.
Warrior is an interesting pick because the Fury spec is a relatively simple but busy rotation that eases players in the game. If players happen to get bored with DPS and want to try something new, they can hop into the Protection spec and start tanking. The same goes for Death Knight, as Frost and Unholy are DPS specs, but Blood lets players test out their tanking chops.
The newest class, Evoker, has an easy-to-follow DPS rotation with its Devastation spec, but it's also one of the best healers in the game when swapped over to Preservation. That's expected to change with tuning changes over the expansion, but Evoker is still in a very good spot.
