With less than ten days from the game launch on May 22, Wuthering Waves has reached its final milestone goal of 30 million pre-registrations, and fans are celebrating. This means we'll be getting all of the announced free rewards once the game launches.
Lustrous Tide is the reward we have been looking forward to the most. We'll be getting free pulls at the start of the game without having to do any of the work and who doesn't love a reward like that?
However, not everyone believed that Wuthering Waves would reach this final pre-registration goal. 30 million is a huge number, and for some people, it seemed impossible to reach. X user @scum_haru has shared a compilation of many of the negative comments that said Wuthering Waves would never make it.
Comments were thrown like 'Kuro ain't Mihoyo' and 'numbers are inflated by bots.' While true that Kuro Games isn't as big as miHoYo, who keep having great success with all of their games, that doesn't mean no one else can do just as well in the same genre. Nor does it mean that that success is fabricated.
It makes sense that these two companies are being compared, but as someone who plays miHoYo games, I can say it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can play and enjoy both, and Wuthering Waves looks more than promising to me.
Some fans are so excited that the milestone was reached, that they are even saying that a 40 million milestone can be achievable. I think that might be a little too optimistic, but who knows? Doubters have been proven wrong this time and there is still just over a week until the game launches.
Wuthering Waves has been smashing all expectations. They have also reached their goal of 5 million followers across all platforms. The game continues to grow, and I'm very excited to see the future of it.
