Top 10 landmarks in Wuthering Waves

Though the landmarks in Wuthering Waves aren't as prominent as those in Genshin Impact, there are still some noticeable places dotted around Huanglong that are worth visiting for their history, aesthetics, and the conversations that you can have with locals there.

The best landmarks in Wuthering Waves and where to find them

Landmarks are supposed to be easily seen from a distance, they can help you find your way around a map, and mark important places in the world. In gacha games like Genshin Impact, landmarks are plentiful and very obvious. As a newer game, Wuthering Waves doesn't yet have a set of designated landmarks; in fact, the terrain makes it very difficult for most places to be considered one.

Below, you'll find 10 of the best landmarks I've found in Wuthering Waves. Most of them are noticeable places that you can see by gliding over them or are large enough that they have their own map locations.

City Hall & The Grand Library

Overlooking the city of Jinzhou, City Hall has two lovely ponds on each side of its entrance and a rather grand doorway. This building is home to Jinzhou's Grand Library, which has golden features and is very pleasing to visit.

One of the last times you were inside the building may have been to catch Scar while he was in his new outfit design.

Jinzhou Memorial

This quiet area, off of the main city infrastructure, is beautiful in its simplicity. You can talk to several of the locals that are dotted around the area, all of which will reveal that they're visiting relatives or friends who fell in battle. Two men standing together are even working on a eulogy for a fallen friend. It doesn't look like a gravesite at first glance, but the serenity of the area is something very noticeable when compared to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Cat Canopy

High above Jinzhou, there is a path that leads you up to the very top of a cliff. Here, you'll find a calm structure with three cats and three chairs. There are no quest items—it's just one of the many cat-related elements of Wuthering Waves.

Shade Ridge Waterfall

After you've enjoyed visiting the cats, dive off the cliff on your glider towards Sky Ray and land where my marker is. Behind you, you'll be able to see the path that you took up to the cat canopy, as well as a magnificent waterfall that flows down from underneath the path.

The Giant Banyan Tree

This frosty area of the map is home to the Giant Banyan tree. A wintery tree that has chanterelle-like blossoms bursting forth from its various branches. But have some caution if you visit, friend. Your Resonators are not meant to stay in these temperatures for long and Echoes lurk in the waters below.

Once you complete the sidequest "When the Forest is No Longer Dim," this area changes.

The Violet Banyan Tree

Another gorgeous tree in Wuthering Waves. If you manage to get to the top where the branches split, there's a Sonance Casket that's ripe for the taking. Otherwise, enjoy the Weeping Willow qualities of this specimen.

The Hidden Crescent Moon

This landmark barely counts as one, but I couldn't leave it out. Between the Violet and Giant trees, there's a waterfall. Halfway down the waterfall of this cliff, there's an opening to a hidden cave. Inside, you'll find a glowing crescent moon. Be careful, though! You'll also find a sleeping Spearback bear Echo.

If you haven't found all three sets of golden butterflies for this waterfall (the first two are on each side of it), you'll be happy to know that the third is in this cave.

A quick note: This moon won't always be here. It's part of the sidequest "When the Moonlight Shines in the Forest." Once you collect it for that sidequest, it will disappear.

Shattered Blocks Cove

From above, this cove is a lovely shape and an obvious landmark. No other coastal area in Wuthering Waves shares this design, so you'd know exactly where you are if you landed here while gliding.

As much as you probably want to go to the center to battle, the pack of Havoc Dreadmane Echoes down there are looking for a fight. At level 40, these echoes are some of the red enemies in Wuthering Waves.

Blossom Cliff

While there is an in-game collectible scenery for "Falling Streams" in this location, I want to focus on the cliff that overlooks the area, dotted with several cherry blossom trees. The bridge is also very prominent, but this traditional village is full of blossom trees, and the cliff is quite strange.

There are a few couriers and military types that you can talk to on the outskirts of the village, as well as a couple of locals inside the village itself.

The Structure at Lake Deerslumber

This interesting site in the middle of Lake Deerslumber has ladders, grabble points, and enough ramps that you can climb to the top and meet all of the cats along the way.

From the top, you can also see the broken buildings and roads on the horizon that belong to the Sea of Flames.

There are plenty of other cool locations throughout the Huanglong map that could have made this list, but these are my top landmark locations for the game because they really show how detailed the dev team are - even when it comes to the more hidden areas.
