Does cleaning your clothes do anything in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

Clean your clothes!

If you are wondering if cleaning your clothes does anything in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the answer is no—at least, nothing substantial. In short, the option to clean clothes in Xenoblade is purely cosmetic and immersive. Because of this, cleaning your clothes will only do just that—clean your clothes and remove any dirt and dust. It will not give you any stat boosts. After using the Clean Clothes option at Rest Spots, your clothes will just look new and clean.

To rest at a Rest Spot, just walk up and press the A key. Doing so opens up the Rest Spot menu, where you can find the option to Clean Clothes, usually on the right of the other options. However, only specific Rest spot locations, like Barracks and spots in the Open world, have the Clean Clothes option. Canteen Rest Spots don't have it.
