I don't know about you, but I hate having to change my outfit anytime I climb a mountain to prevent the cold from wiping away my hearts in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If you want to save your Spicy Peppers for another time, there is another option other than cooking available to you—elixirs. You'll still whip them up from pots, but instead of using edible ingredients, you can use the critters and monster parts that you don't want to fuse to arrows. Here is a list of all the Elixirs you can make in Tears of the Kingdom, including two new recipes added in the sequel.

How Elixir effects work in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Much like cooking recipes, Elixirs will grant Link exploration effects or combat effects for a given period of time. To create an Elixir, add the ingredients to a Pot and cook them as if they were food. The number of Monster Parts you add to the pot does not matter. What does matter is how many critters you throw in. More critters will always enhance an elixir's effect.
Can you tack Elixir Effects in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Nope, you still cannot stack effects; I double checked. Throwing a Summerwing Butterfly in the pot with a Rugged Rhino Beetle will not produce an Elixir that both adds cold resistance and heightens defense. Instead, the effects will cancel out, and you'll be left with Dubious Food.
You also cannot stack Elixir or cooking effects. If you eat a cold resistant food, then drink a Tough Elixir, the cold resistance effect will be overwritten, and you'll just be left with a Defense Boost.
