Content Warning developer hints at possible console ports

Staring intensely at those replies.

Content Warning has been making numbers ever since its April 1 release on PC. However, console players have been left wondering if the game will ever get a console port. Turns out, it's likely that they will!

Landfall Games, the developers of Content Warning, have posted about the game selling 2.2 million copies. An additional 6.6 million people have claimed the game while it was free, for a total of 8.8 million players.

However, many have replied to this post that the number would be even higher if they ported the game to consoles. So far, we have had no indication of whether a console version of the game was in the plans. Considering that Landfall Games is an indie studio, this would be a big endeavor for them, on top of adding new content for the current player base.

Lethal Company, another success in the indie horror game genre similar to Content Warning, doesn't have a console version either. However, Content Warning might beat them there since we are now getting hints about a possible console port.

The official Content Warning X account @LandfallGames has responded to some of the replies asking for a console version. The replies are no less than intriguing. One states, 'Never say never,' while a different one just includes the eyes emoji.

While it's far from an official confirmation, these responses from the Content Warning developers give console players hope. I have friends who have been waiting for ages to actually join me in exploring the Old World, and I can tell from social media that many people are in the same situation.

With a console port, Content Warning could greatly increase its numbers. So far, Landfall Games has been pretty good about updating and listening to community feedback. Hopefully, they will listen this time as well and bring one of the most fun games in the multiplayer horror genre to consoles.
