How to Get Free Skins in Fortnite (July 2022)

Fortnite skins for free? Now that is something to see.

Between the in-game shop and its battle pass, Fortnite offers plenty of cosmetic content for players, albeit behind some paywalls. However, sometimes Epic Games gives players ways to unlock cosmetics for free, either through codes or other means. This month, there are some skins being offered for free to players.

Blizzard Bomber

Only available to PlayStation Plus subscribers, the Blizzard Bomber skin is completely free to those with it. This does make the skin a PlayStation exclusive skin, unfortunately leaving out other platforms. Regardless, the skin costs the players with access to it nothing extra. Obtaining it is quite simple:

  • First, head to the Playstation Store.
  • Next, search for the Playstation Plus Celebration Pack.
  • Once you find it, click on the Add to Cart button.
  • After completing checkout, which should be free, the Blizzard Bomber skin is all yours.

Xander

Luckily for all players and not just PlayStation owners, Xander is available for everyone given that you complete his prerequisites. The unfortunate part is that the prerequisites can take quite a bit of time and commitment from both you and a friend. This is because Xander is unlocked through Fortnite's Refer-a-Friend program. First, you have to refer a friend to the game and then each of you have to level up a daunting 60 times each. This can make for a grueling level grind for both of you, but if you both manage to accomplish the feat before February 19, 2023, you'll receive the skin for free.
