Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 sees the return of the notorious Darth Vader to the Star Wars map. Out of all the iconic in-game drops related to it, Darth Vader's lightsaber is one of the most powerful weapons players can wield. Here's how to find and defeat Darth Vader and get his lightsaber in Fortnite.

Darth Vader can be found on the small island north of Lavish Lair, specifically on its southwest corner. We've marked the island you'll need to visit on the map screenshot below.
You don't want to go straight there, though. This is a surefire way to get killed immediately. Vader is incredibly strong, with a hefty health bar and a good amount of shield. Fortunately, the island he's landed on has three chests spawn on the beach on its north coast, as well as one stacked atop a bunch of wooden furniture in the center. Visit these to stock up on some weapons and—hopefully—some healing items and shields, too.
Once you're prepared, head to the southwest coast and go into the nearby Imperial Roadblock-style building. You can loot the E11 Blaster here and potentially the Wookie Bowcaster from the Imperial Chest.
Now it's time to start unleashing hell on Vader. As soon as you deal some damage to him, he'll use a Force Jump move to immediately close the distance and try using a lightsaber attack. You'll want to try and use explosives or a shotgun if you're feeling really lucky to quickly whittle his health down before he can start unleashing more swings of his lightsaber.
Trying to take him down solo is hard, so I'd recommend playing with friends or letting other players do the work (if you're playing in solos) and then going in to finish the job. Keep in mind that the Stormtroopers with Darth Vader will also fire at you, so you'll want to try and get rid of them first so it's one less thing you need to worry about.
How to use a lightsaber in Fortnite
If you've managed to defeat Darth Vader by yourself, congratulations! You now have access to his shiny (and deadly) lightsaber. The tricky part is to understand how to best use it. If you spam the attack button, there's a chance you will run out of moves you need for a fair 1v1 situation. So, time them correctly by taking breaks between each swing.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the ability to deflect bullets is limited, in a sense. If you hold your block button in hopes of deflecting every single bullet your enemy fires your way, you're out of luck! Just like your attacks, time this well to never run out of stamina.
Finally, make sure you use the Force to throw his lightsaber like a boomerang. This is a neat trick to use when attacking enemies at a distance. Combining all these abilities makes for a powerful combo that can win you almost any battle against real-life opponents in the game.
