With the farm friends update in LEGO Fortnite, you can now recruit animals in-game. Villagers can recruit animals by building an Animal House and feeding them Animal Treats. So, here's how you can make animal treats in Fortnite.
How to get Animal Treats in LEGO Fortnite
Animal Treats allow you to pet and tame animals found across the map in LEGO Fortnite. You can recruit creatures like Cows, Chickens, Sheep, and Pigs at your base by feeding them Animal Treats and building Animal Houses. After feeding the creatures, you can bring them back to the base through various methods.
The recipe for Animal Treats unlocks after you build a Barn. Once available, cook Animal Treats at a Grill using three pieces of Corn and five pieces of Vines.
After feeding Animal Treats to different creatures, I noticed a green heart popping up above them which signifies that they are tamed and ready to follow you. Once you've fed the creatures, there is a short window during which you can bring them back to the base. Animals can get distracted easily, so you'll have to make sure that their journey is obstacle-free.

To do this, you can build certain vehicles like cars and trains to quickly transfer them from one area to another. Likewise, keep fishing rods in your inventory as they can be exceptionally helpful in fetching an animal out of a tight spot. Animals can get upset and hurt if their journey is interrupted, so make sure to keep Animal Treats handy. This consumable item can also heal creatures, so it is wise to carry plenty of treats while you are searching for animals.
How to unlock Animal Treats in LEGO Fortnite
After reaching Village Level 2, you'll be able to access the recipe for an Animal House. This new station is used to house and feed animals at your base. Additionally, you can farm certain resources after building an Animal House. Once you've built an Animal House at your base, the recipe for Animal Treats gets unlocked.
